How to make pocket ashtray using origami
Origami comes from words ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper". The goal is to transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished form through folding and sculpting techniques.
Now, we are going to use this ancient art technique to make cool Reshtray to put your butts in and thus protect water on our planet.

What will you need:
TetraPak carton (milk, juice etc.), scissors, ruler and stapler.

Ready? Let's help our planet!

STEP 1
Cut a square piece of TetraPak carton. We usually make them 18x18 cm
(7x7 inches).

TOP TIP!
Cut open the carton along the joint part. You can than discart it as it is too rigid to fold.

STEP 2
After positioning your TetraPak sheet like a diamond, fold the bottom half to the top half to make a triangle.

STEP 3
Fold the top corner of the triangle to the bottom edge.

STEP 4
Fold in 1/3rd of both sides of the triangle.
TOP TIP!
For larger size, fold less than 1/3rd.

STEP 5
Fold that flap’s corner back out to the edge.

STEP 6
Open the little flap and squash it to form a diamond pocket.

STEP 7
Staple the front part together through the minipocket with the bottom part of stapler going inside the ashtray.

STEP 8
Fold down the top.
STEP 9
Tuck the tip into the diamond shaped pocket and you are done!

Accessorize your Reshtray!

Use a needle to puncture the top and tie through a string loop for easier opening.

Make it pretty! Cover the worn parts with stickers, you surely have some!

Make it even prettier! Sew a little pocket using top of an old sock or cut and old t-shirt. Play a bit.

IS YOUR RESHTRAY WORN OUT?
Just take the staple out, wash it and throw it in a proper bin.

This form of upcycling does not reduce the recycling potential.

Finally, make new ashtray...I mean...reshtray within 5 minutes and continue helping our planet!
